Public Proxy Server

Identifying a trustworthy list of proxy servers is just like searching for some need during the haystack. The sites of public proxy have various sites and getting the sites from this list is a very easy process. The main disadvantage with this public proxy is that it is open to all and is generally available free. Thus this creates the public proxies as untrustworthy and also become very dangerous in some cases when the user especially do not want to reveal his identity when he is online.

The public proxies are generally not reliable as it is spread widely and is used by many users. Many times it can be seen that the similar proxy list will be posted for the visitors and also the members who uses it. A solo proxy server can be found listed in minimum of the websites. It will have various people using it simultaneously. As there are various users for a single proxy, it tends to work slowly and using it for urgency becomes impossible. It is not that easy to look out for a public proxy that is trustworthy and anything that is open to all can be used by all the people and thus the same is literally over used and in some cases it is abused by the users.

Some of the proxies, apart from being untrustworthy and not reliable, will also not provide anonymity to the user while he is online. The proxy servers are of various kinds. Some of the proxies are fully anonymous and some are anonymous partially. Some of the proxy servers do not offer any anonymity. The proxy servers which do not give any anonymity is called as the transparent proxies. These proxies just pass on the IP address of the user’s computer to the site of destination he is trying for access through the proxy. In this case, all the websites can see the original IP of the user and thus he is not anonymous.
