Proxies Anonymous – How Do They Work

By | June 26, 2009

The most universal method that is used for exchange of information on the internet is the client server. When a user of the computer sends his request for some files from his computer, the server sends the reply in the form of the files that are required by him. To have complete support and for gaining a good understanding between the computer and the server, it is necessary for the user to send some additional details like the computer’s version, operating system used and the browser configuration. These details are required necessarily by the server so as to decide on the disposal of the web page to the user as some of the browsers are not compatible with the design of the web pages and the use of technology. On the other hand, when the web pages are not dependant on the browsers, it is better to conceal the information from the web server.

The details that are transmitted from the user’s browser to the web server are the operating system’s name and its version, browser’s version, name and its configuration like the depth of the colour, resolution of the display, plug ins, java script’s support and the adobe, user’s IP address and all the other required details.

Of all the submission of various details, the main important one is the details regarding the IP address. Once the IP address is disclosed, it is quite easy to get the details like the user’s country or city, provider and the address of the user.

Obscurity at the work on the internet is dogged by the variables of the environment that are not openly kept on the web server. The proxies are different that are classified based on the surrounding variables that are hidden by the proxy servers. The types of proxies are transparent proxies, anonymous proxies, simple anonymous proxies, distorting proxies and high anonymity proxies.
